Sharing your moving story will help others select movers wisely.
What people leave behind is their stories. We love telling, writing (not always) and listening to stories. That strive for sharing comes from the need for creation of individual order and it is about telling the world who we are, telling our stories. We do that every day. We wake up; go to work or school and throughout that time, we make our stories. Then at the end of the day, we share them with our closest people. The making and sharing of stories is a natural way for most of us to highlight who we are, and it has always been part the cycle of life. Long time ago sharing happened around the fire, today it’s taking place online. Telling our stories has never been easier than it is today. There are hundreds of internet platforms accommodating the need to share our stories with the world. We can start with regular mail and phone, and many of us don’t even know where we can end because there are endless online places. There are the familiar ones like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, blogs and email, all assisting us in better shaping the story we want to deliver. Besides that though, there are millions of niche websites where people sharing similar interests, share and create stories every day.
Why Share Your Moving Story?

With the Internet, it is even easier to share your moving reviews with the world.
Share your moving story because other people care. Because other people going through a move want to hear what happens from people like you, who have already been there and done that. People say the real juice comes only from the primary source. We are not talking about reviews of moving companies. We are talking about a story that has a beginning, middle, a climax and end. A story will tell the people how and why you decided to move, and how and why you chose the moving company you’ve chosen to hire. Your story will be personal and will be about you, not about the moving company. You add your perspective and twist, and even your pictures. There will be nothing misrepresented or left unsaid when you share your moving story. We all like details, and we all will enjoy reading about why you decided to move. Yes, we want to know if you found a better job or just wanted to start a new life. We all want to hear that, we want to become part of your experience by reading about it. Most of us, without honestly admitting, want to sympathize with you, or to envy you or just to sit back, relax and forget about their upcoming move by reading about your past one. A positive moving story will be like a sedative for the troubled mind of those of us who are planning a move. Most people’s mind set is that a moving is going to be a horrible experience and once you’ve moved ahead tuned like that, it is very difficult to remember the experience as positive. Our mind is a powerful instrument guiding our experiences and very few of us can control it. In the case of moving is like with many other experiences, we are predisposed that it will be difficult and stressful. Therefore, even in the end when the move was completed perfectly we tend to stick to the predisposition that makes us wish to forget about the it. Thus to help the world see that moving is not a horror story in action, we have to share our stories especially when the move went smooth and we are happy the moving services. We must not only tell the world when something bad has happened, and now we are filing a claim on the movers with BBB or writing a review on Yelp. All of us should strive to communicate the good moving stories because there are many happening every day, but we just don’t hear about them.

I know what it feels like to move. I’ve moved 7 times in my 11 year old life. Just recently I moved over 7,000 miles away from where I used to. Its like a different country In the easy coast. (from Hawaii) just recently I was hit by the worst bout of homesickness, after half a year after moving. Oh well. All I know is it’s so hard to start all over. I’ve only been in one school over a year…. And that was because I skipped a grade. Every year my identity is new, but I’m still always the youngest. I love moving, but sometimes the military just moves you TOO much.

Thanks,
Sarah
