2 Mile move from Bethesda to Chevy Chase - Moving Review

The moving quote was for 3 men, only two showed up and they were 1 hour late. I asked them to get a third guy because my quote was for 3 guys. An hour later the come back with a thrid guy, when they said they would be back in 20 minutes. The moving guys did not have any moving equipment inlcuding dolleys and hand trucks. I loaned them a hand truck that I had so that they could move my stuff faster. I had packed up all my belongings and moved them into the hallway before they showed up to make the move faster. Since my two apartments were elevator buildings and reserved the freight elevator, the time of the move was quoted for 3 hours. I thought that it should take 4 hours based upon the other quotes I received. The move out of my apartment took 5 and one half hours becuase the movers deliberately left the moving equipment at the warehouse to pad the bill. Since my new apartment was 2 miles away and it is a larger building that had a number of valet carts and I was able to borrow, the move into my apartment took 1 and a half hours. The total estimated move was quoted for 4 hours including time travel. It ended up costing me 9 hours 200 in materials to wrap a plasma tv which was unprofessionally wrapped. NEVER USE MOVE IT VAN LINES. I have moved 15 times in my life and have never had such a bad experience. A $400 quote cost me $1000 in the end. I am presently seeking legal action against them.
