5 day late delivery - Moving Review

My experience with South Moving Transportation was horrible. My move was subcontracted to them from Neighbors Moving and Storage who I selected to do my move. The owner of South, Camilla, called me the week prior to our pickup to go over the contract I signed with Neighbors. In my contract I paid an additional $238 for direct delivery. Meaning they were to pick up my stuff on Friday and deliver it by Sunday. Camilla confirmed this with me prior to pick up. When the driver arrived, 2 hours late, he also confirmed that we had a direct delivery scheduled for Sunday. He picked up my stuff and packed it on the truck without incident. I found it weird that half of the truck was already full with someone else's stuff since we were supposed to be getting a direct delivery. We rushed back to Indianapolis from Atlanta to make sure we were there in time for our move. Sunday came and went without our delivery or even as much of a phone call to say the were not coming. I was not able to get in contact with anyone because they were closed on Sunday. When I finally got in contact with Camilla on Monday she stated that they did not deliver because they had other pickups to do and Sunday was Easter holiday. Im pretty sure that they knew Sunday was Easter when she was going over my contract with me the prior week yet nothing was said about this. I was even more exacerbated when Camilla told me that they would not deliver until Thursday or Friday the next week. If I would have known all this up front I would have rented a u haul and moved myself. I felt like I was lied to by Camilla and the driver because they knew they would not deliver on Sunday but did not tell me ahead of time so I could have made other choices. I also found it idiotic that they drove the truck 4 hours south of Atlanta to Savannah and parked it when they were going to be deliver 550 miles to the north in Indianapolis. So instead of an 8 hour drive it was now a 12 hour drive. Do yourself a favor and do not hire this company. I ended up getting the additional $238 credited but this did not even begin to pay for the inconvenience and frustration they caused my wife and I. To put the icing on all of it I couldn't even get a "sorry for this trouble sir" out of the owner Camilla.  I reported this incident to the BBB and found that they had 6 other complaints as  well. This is not a reputable company to say the least.
