BUYER BEWARE!!!! DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE USING!!!! - Moving Review

Recently Presto Logistics performed a move for me from California to Colorado. John (the salesperson) quoted a price that was supposedly the 'best case scenario'. Well come moving day, the movers were on-time, that is where the 'feel good' experience ended. The moving supervisor went over the paperwork and charges which were $600 higher then the supposed 'best case scenario' quote. John neglected to add all the crating and wrapping to move some of the furniture ... more then likely to get my business (bait and switch at its best)! The items were delivered to the destination late with scratches and dents on all the furniture, some damaged beyond repair (broken glass, broken coffee leg, and one item (bedroom end table) was missing/stolen. All this 'tender loving care' occurred because of the extra money I had to pay for the special packing and crating--- give me a break! When I contacted the driver about being late, the response I received was yelling and screaming between abusive language. I should have been the one screaming since I had to pay the receivers on the delivery end double the anticipated cost.

Oh course, they want their payment in cash or postal money order because then you have no recourse. Now I can see why!

When honest Abe and John were presented with the issue of damaged furniture, they said no problem we will get someone out right away to fix it. Well three weeks passed and we were the ones that had follow-up. Called take the money and run forget integrity, honesty and commitment to contractual obligations.

Well here we are in mid-October still dealing with lack of follow-up from a early August move. We finally told Presto lets just settle this for a dollar amount and put this to bed. I spoke with John and we come to an agreement on a settlement amount. He was to bring the money in the same fashion as we gave to him (cash). I'm sure you know the answer to this story already. Well, John didn't show up on Friday as agreed upon ... no call, no email. Followed up on Monday, John is sick again. Well on Thursday, only after our follow-up, honest Abe and John were ready to pay up. When we arrived to pick up the money, John basically called me a liar about the agreed upon settlement amount (low balled the amount of course) and didn't have it in cash as agreed upon. Wanted us to take a check with a wink and a trust me ... you got to me kidding. So basically, I have broken, scratched, dented and missing furniture and the issue still is not resolved. Obviously, Presto Logistics has no intention of making good on their promises. I guess I should have checked a little closer beyond the 'smoke and mirrors' to get the full picture on how they operate their business.

All of this is public record with a little digging:
-Secretary of State, California - Presto Logistics Corporation - suspended
- California PUC - regulatory and governing body for movers that operate in and from the State of California. Presto Logistics is not licensed or registered
- City of Agoura - Does not have a business license to do business in the City (new location is 28310 Roadside Dr #210 Agoura, CA)
They do have DOT and MC ICC registration but that is where it ends. Insurance ... I'll let you do the research!

All I can say is do your homework and look elsewhere if want honesty, integrity and a job well done!
