could not have been worse or more disrespectful - Moving Review

I used these guys to make a cross country move. They arrived ontime for the pick up however that was the last good thing that happened with this company. I had made an agreement that they would pack everything and all materials would be included at a rate of $.79 per pound being the only fee. This seemed like a good deal. Having pretty much finished the living room the head mover noticed all of our glassware in the kitchen and told us that they do not pack glass nor did they have the materials to do so. I called their manager and he told me that they should pack "everything". I then told the movers this and they said well we have nothing to pack the glassware so we can't. My wife and I then had to go out and purchase materials. When we returned the driver said he had gotten a flat and that he and the other mover had to go fix it and that we should be able to pack everything by the time they got back. So after 4 hours everything was packed and they finally returned. I called the following day to complain to their manager he blew me off saying that only the owner could handle complaints and that he would call me the next day. I never recieved a call. So I repeatedly called with no response and my rep seemed to never be there. I had told them that we could recieve our shipment after the 10th of feb. On the 5th i recieved a call from the driver saying he would be in the area the next day and would like to deliver the following morning the 7th. So again I called the company to tell them that wouldn't work and that i was still waiting to hear of some sort of compensation for the packing. Again nothing was resolved and i made them wait until the 10th. I called again that morning to have everything settled before everything arrived and got the rudest customer service person i've ever encountered. The gentlemen tried to claim that i made the whole story up and that i was just trying to take advantage of them. So after a heated argument i finally recieved a call back that they would take 130 off the 2765 move. 4 hours of packing each and materials all that was to be included that just didn't cut it. Then the driver said he couldn't drive up a dirt road forcing me to rent a truck of my own to shuttle from the truck to the house. I told the movers i would be back in 1 hour and was however they didn't return until 2 hours after that. Then once they opened the truck it was a disaster. My grandfather clock was wedged into the top with the glass face down. I had told the original mover it had to be stored upright. Needless to say all of the glass was shattered and all of the internal parts had come apart. This was just one of several things broken. Also while they were unloading my things they dropped a box from another move clearly hearing things break the mover then picked it up and threw it in a corner. They were also supposed to put everything that had been taken apart back together but said they had no tools to do so. I've made 2 other long distant moves in the past 3 years and this was easily the worst experience of my life not just in moving experiences but ever. Stay away, don't get tricked into thinking this is Allied the big moving company they have at least 3 company names that i've discovered since the move also the phone number they give you doesn't work thankfully i stored the number in my phone that they used to call me from.
