DO NOT USE Direct Movers, INC - Moving Review

WORST MOVERS EVER - DO NOT USE!

Verbally quoted me $1500 which would include everything from taxes to packing to moving. 20% due at reservation 60% due upon pick up and due upon arrival.

They arrived 2 hours late. (which did not bother me much). Then the fees came. They charged for fuel, use of elevator, walking my stuff to the truck, packing (everything was already packed and had been already bubble wrapped and covered), and "additional space used in a truck". that added up to a total of $3000.00, Yes double what they quoted

If that was not bad enough, they request a BLANK check. Yes, a blank check because it would "CLEAR FASTER". Now In what banking world does writing a blank check allow it to clear faster. They said they would not send my stuff til the check cleared. I chose not to use credit card because they would charge an extra 5% for that. So now apparently my stuff will sit in storage for 10 days then however many it takes for them to ship it. I was originally quoted 5-7 days from pick up to drop off.

Then upon completion of picking up my stuff, they wanted me to sign a paper saying they originally quoted me $2800 I also refused to do that.

They are not willing to give me any of my money back as of right now.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I warn you of this HORRIBLE company. DO NOT use them
