If I could give this company no stars I would! I moved from New Jersey to Florida this month and I got in touch with Good Team Movers about 3 months before my move. The sales person asked me how many boxes I would have and what furniture I would be bring with me. I explained that most of my furniture was already in my home in Florida but my move would consist of mostly boxes and a Queen size matress. but there was no way I could guess how many boxes I would have since I had not started packing yet. I was quoted a move for $900. and told to contact them before the move to update inventory.
I called several days before the move and updated my inventory and my qoute was 1700. Still sounded like a reasonable price. The movers were suppose to come Sat, July 14th but I received a phone call the Tuesday before my move asking if they could come that day to pick up I explained I was not ready plus I needed my matress until I had to get out of my place. I was asked if I would go to Walmart and buy a blow up mattress so they could come and pick up my things. I said I am not staying in my place without all of my things and a blow up Matress for 5 days. Disbatch sounded annoyed but went along with it. The Friday before my move I was called telling me instead of Sat they would be at my place on Sunday. I said ok but thought how unproffesional! Saturday the driver of the truck called me and asked if he could park in front of my home I said yes that should be no problem. But what he FORGOT to add was that he was driving an 18 wheeler! Also I called the company and asked if I was responsible for packing my TV's or would the movers I was told to WRAP them so I did.
Sunday came and the movers showed up sometime in the afternoon with an 18 wheeler that of course could not get to my house. and I was told I was being charged an EXTRA 350 for a long haul. I said no one told me that and the driver said well I asked you yesterday. I said you never told me the size of the truck you were driving and I certainly do not have enough stuff to fill an 18 wheeler. The driver and myself go into a verbal disagreement when he stormed off and started his truck getting ready to leave without taking my things. Meanwhile I had a plane ticket for the following Tuesday to head to Florida. I had to BEG the driver to come back to my home and was forced to pay the extra fee. I was also told that he would not take the TV's unless they were boxed I explained that I was told to wrap them. But once again I was forced to pay 130 for 2 boxes for my Tv's that I could have bought at a packing store for 10 bucks a piece. the pick up day was so aggravating I couldnt wait till it was over!
The truck arrived in Florida 5 days later and of course it could not get close to my home. So another 350 to bring the stuff into my home. The boxes look like they ran them over with a pick up truck. Some so damaged they had to tape them up at the curb because they could not life them without my things falling out. I was just happy to get my things in my home and get rid of this moving company once and for all. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND WOULD DO ANYTHING TO EDUCATE ANYONE THAT IS MOVING TO STAY AWAY THEY ARE CROOKS!

Official company response to Lisa's review:
I would like to start off by saying we are one of the most honest companies out there and never will charge ANY customer in an unfair or unjustified way. We never reserved this move for the customer it was a job given to us by a broker about a few days before the pick-up because they were unable to find a carrier to pick-up there customer and we were gracious enough to help even though it was out of the way on our route. We NEVER spoke to the customer until the day before pick-up and at that time our driver asked the customer if our truck an 18 wheeler will fit in her residence. She said yes, and just to clarify the situation she knew very clearly that we had an 18 wheeler coming to pick her up and explained that there possibly could be a long carry or shuttle charge applied if we can’t get close to the residence. Regarding the packing of the two TV’s she herself said that she called the company and asked if we do the packing for TV’s or if she had to and as stated on her complaint she was going to have them ready which was not the case on the day of the move.
One thing which we really need to clarify is that when the driver explained the long carry charge the customer’s BOYFREIND start threatening the driver by saying that quote on quote “Im going to F***ing break your neck” which at that time our driver started to go back to the truck because he was scared to have her boyfriend assault him. The driver felt threatened and wanted to leave but I myself had to calm him down so we as a company can at the very least service the customer and be on our way. CUSTOMER QUOTE “I was also told that he would not take the TV's unless they were boxed I explained that I was told to wrap them. But once again I was forced to pay 130 for 2 boxes for my Tv's that I could have bought at a packing store for 10 bucks a piece.” ANOTHER PREVISOUS QUOTE “Also I called the company and asked if I was responsible for packing my TV's or would the movers I was told to WRAP them so I did.”
These two statement don’t correlate together because the driver would have had to charge to pack the TV’s if the customer did not have them done but she herself stated that she would pack them and NEVER did. Any box damage was to do with the customer’s lack of skill to pack things properly and not use boxes that were not sturdy enough for transport. So ALL in ALL we picked-up the customer and did the best service we could which is by far better than most of what’s out there and we also appreciate the small degree of honesty letting our future customers know of how quick our delivery turnaround times are which if you ever moved before you know if extremely fast
One last thing which has nothing to do with the company but I have to say this on a personal note, Nothing should ever come to violence and the way the customer and especially her boyfriend coming over to our driver with his shirt off threatening him is just showing the level of sophistication and class these two individuals have developed in their lifestyle which to me is very sad.
