Watch out if you wok with Duntara - you don't want to get subcontracted! I asked the sales rep from Duntara if this would happen to me (i was aware that this takes place in the industry) and was assured that Duntara does the moves themselves. Was not the case for me. I got stuck with Oasis - and here is my story.... I've moved over 20 times over the years and this was by far the worst experience I've had. An outfit from Oasis showed up and I had to sign all new documents (after reviewing the Duntara contracts in detail) at the time of my actual move. Second was what I discovered at delivery. But first - what must have happened while I was on the first floor doing some final packing while the packers were on the second floor disassembling (which the contract said they would do) my bed and desk. Unfortunately the did not know how to take the furniture apart and instead of asking me for assistance (I've move these pieces 3 times already with no problem) they proceeded to take them apart using brute force. Why use a screwdriver when you can rip the furniture apart. Needless to say - totally ruined. I only discovered this damage when the items were delivered - not a word by the packers. They busted the furniture, picked up the broken wood and put it in drawers and wrapped everything with blankets. Next was trying to figure out delivery. At pickup they said my items would be on a truck heading east by the end of the week. Knowing that this is likely done just to make me feel better and is not a commitment - I called Oasis Customer Service and asked them. Over three weeks I was told the move was underway and I would hear anytime from the driver about the delivery. After 3 weeks of this I was told by another CS rep that I was not given the facts and the truck was leaving the following week. The truck finally showed up after 30 days and I discovered the quality work of the packers. Only good thing was the guys who delivered the items. They truly seemed to feel bad and understand they worked for a company that did not care about it's customers. I'd avoid these guys. And watch out if you get subcontracted!
