Excellent Customer Service - Moving Review

I am a navy pilot and my wife and I are nearing the end of our stay in corpus christi, tx.  We surveyed different options and decided on Direct Van Lines.  Our needs at this time were particular, we would be moving soon (in less than two days) and would need delivering on a weekend.  Max R., the rep with whom I spoke, was able to set up a move to those exact parameters, gave a clear and logical breakdown of our costs and even gave us the May moving rate (in June).  He was upfront and honest and our only initial expense was a 10% deposit to lock in the quote.  Unfortunately, that next morning, our situation had changed again (surprise! navy!).  What we now knew was we weren't moving immediately and that it would be a government move (i.e. not a dity like we were doing).  This put us in a bind with Direct Van Lines because we had already agreed that we could cancel at anytime, but wouldn't get our deposit back (~$237) if it was within the 72-hour window even though the order was made well within that window. We explained our new situation to Max R. and later his supervisor, Chris G. and they showed phenomenal goodwill in making an exception, saving us our money and making us feel like valued customers.  We will be back.
