Never even saw a mover.
I am moving from AR to CO. I had received multiple quotes from moving companies. I was contacted by a representative from Karo Moving names Brandon4. He reassured me that his company would beat any other quotes. We negotiated a price that was based upon weight. To get the price down Brandon reassured me that by bumping up the weight of my shipment I would be paying based upon weight alone ($0.43 per pound.) In doing so this would quote me at $1000.00 with the intentions that when my cargo was weighed below the 2300lb it would take to get to $1000.00 dollars my price would drop. There for lowering my cost and beating out all competitors prices. I was told that a $300.00 deposit was needed to secure my truck but that would be deducted from the price that would be determined based upon final weight. I signed a contrast stating the $0.43 per pound and the shipment was to be picked up on November 11th. Come the 10th I try to get a hold of Brandon to get a time frame of when to expect the truck, only to find he is now on leave. The lady who answers the phone (Mattie) informs me that none the less is there no truck in my area that there is a minimum charge of $1000. I try explaining that our agreement was based upon weight. She tells me I'm wrong, and Brandon can not be contacted to straighten this out (Brandon has been on leave ever since). I try explaining the issue I have with the price change and the fact that the contract clearly states that my shipment is to be picked up on the 11th. After reiterating my confusion, anger, and disbelief at how my contract has been breached price wise and pickup time, I am told by a total of three people ( Mattie, Susan from dispatch, and the purposive supervisor Nathan) TO BAD. They gave me the choice to lose my $300 deposit, or go through with the move and pay the minimal price. I even had one of the ladies tell me "I don't see what the big deal is". I opt to go with the move provided with the info from Susan the truck would be at my place on the 12th of November in-between the times of 10am and 2pm. So I take off another days work and wait around. Come 2, still no truck. I call dispatch and I am once again informed there is no truck near by. Day three, I speak to the driver of the truck says he'll be here between 9-10am. Still no truck. In the long run I have decided not to trust my belongings to a company that has taunted me lied to me, and refuses to return my deposit to secure a truck that never came.
