Missing item and broken but no reimbursement - Moving Review

This move was from Northern CA to Southern CA. I had one small box which contained my camera and a few small crystal items open on my stovetop as it was not totally packed and was actually going in the car with me. I had to leave the house for about 20 minutes and when I returned the box was no longer on my stovetop. I asked what had happened to it and was told "I don't know, I guess it got packed". I went outside and checked for it but did not see it. I assumed it was in the truck. Upon arrival at the final destination all boxes were unpacked. When all boxes were unpacked I started looking for the box that had my camera in it. No box with camera! It has now been 4 months since the move and the box is still not found. There was also one art glass piece that got broken. Actually, one of the movers stacked 5 boxes on his dolley and when he went to move it all the boxes fell off and onto the ground. He and his fellow movers just laughed. For all I know my art glass piece, which was packed very well, was on that dolley and the fall was the cause of its breakage. USA Relocation was notified about the missing box with camera and other small items, and the broken art glass. I am now informed that Anthem Claim Management, USA Relocation, Inc's insurer has stated that USA Relocation, Inc. is not responsible for the loss of my camera nor the breakage of my art glass piece. Bottom line, I would not recommend this company to anyone based on the fact that their insurer pays nothing for lost or broken items. They didn't even offer $.60 per lb. for the item/s which is the breakage/loss standard coverage that moving companies carry and that you automatically receive when you use their services. I would not use this company again for no other reason that their insurer does not pay for broken or lost items. Beware!
