Military Stay AWAY! I am an experienced mover and this was my 13th move in 17 years. I was quoted $11,500 for 17,000 lbs and a full move from GA to WA. Was told by my moving expert, Lamar Hoo-Chong, that this would be a "red carpet" and "first rate" move. Was the worst move ever...by far. I liken this experience to a mix between buying a new car and naming your own price on Priceline.com Math doesn't add up, double speak, outright lies, etc. Even though I know within 1000 lbs what my household goods weigh, Lamar would not even entertain taking a look at my past moving inventory sheets to get a realistic idea of the wt. He grossly underestimated my wt then told me not to worry about it as there would be a whole truck dedicated to my move and my household goods. The truck showed up 1/3 filled with another person's hhg. The movers filled the rest of the truck and told me to contact "customer service" to get the other 4000 lbs of my hhg packed and shipped. I am writitng this one month later and not one person from "customer service" can even tell me a PLAN on getting my move completed much less a date in which it will happen. Lies on top of lies on top of promises on top of ignoring phone calls etc. Stay away at all costs.
