The whole experience is bad,
I am moving from New York city Manhattan to Portland OR.The moving company is realy bad choice.
First they didn't show up on time, they lost the reserved spot, so they got tickets from Police, the owner of Relo van lines ask us to pay for the tickets.
Second, they charged us a long walk fee.(I live in New york city Manhattan downtown nice doorman apartment building with working elevator, i have never heard about the long walking fee ever)
Third, we prepacked all the stuff except the seven pieces of paintings and one mirror(insurance reason), they used 27 boxes and charged us $657.25. I packed most stuff by myself and i know the price for boxes. when i question them the price, they told me that is their company price. For example, one dishpack box is $35.
Forth, they asked us extra money for the suttle service( no reason). I talked with the Relo owner(he has realy bad attitute), he said, you have to pay because he got police tickets by parking near our building. I told him that is not my responsibility, and he said i can get you the shuttle fee back but you have to pay for the police ticket. What?!
The owful experience continues, the driver called us that they will delivery between 9am-11am the day before, then they told us that they will be around 12pm, they finially showed up at 3pm, he complained that the shuttle couldn't get to our driveway, i have to pay $400 extra so he will move our stuff into the house otherwise they will load everything on the street.
