never use - they are cheater - not BBB accredited - Moving Review

They have a modus operandi for cheating :
I contacted great american van lines at new jersey on phone number : 201-451-3000 abd talked to DANA ,she gave the loest quote and i got

trapped and then started my journey for agony. they cheat , plunder you for money , and have no customer orientation.
Aafter the deal was finalised for 1150 , they charged me 237 on credit card and asked me to pay 300 while pickup and rest while delivery.
But during pickup ,they charged me extra and took $600 (my friend paid since i was already in wa by then) and counted each part of bed as

extra and quote went to 2200 !!! .i had to pay $1200before they put my single piece of luggae in my house (after 2 month).
Since my luggage was in store - i was able to tell them exactly what i had but still I paid over $900 more , that too after 2 months of

delayed delivery - there was no apology from there side.
So,I paid $1200 while taking delivery and my bed parts were missing - they went happily.
I never got to talk with DANA again (be aware name may change )
I had the following damages:
Mattress was torn and got damage at several places (photos attached)
Thread of the Mattress is clearly shown coming out
Also the bed-parts got scratches and though it was packed while the pick up was done it reached unpacked while delayed delivery.
Many of the Boxes were damaged ,which affected the spoiled the thing inside.
I had following lost items
One of the cloth hanger got lost
One room heater got lost in transit
The pick up man charged extra for pick and decided on the tip amount of $50 on itself .
Though one of my suitcase need to be packed - the pickup guys loaded it in truck with promise that It would be packed - it never got packed

and was delived unpacked and with lot of scratches.
After the pickup - I was promised of delivery every week - finally I got all my stuff after 2 months .
At the time of delivery, the delivery man were very rude and asked for money before the delivery though my shipment was never delivered on

time.
They were trying to extract money for everything - like parking charges for truck / delivery charges / TIP amount of $220 was added to my

bill -though the service was pathetic.

GREAT AMERICAN VAN LINES, 24 Halladay st Jersey city ,NJ 07304 is not BBB recognized ,so better to avoid.
There si something you can do with BBB recognized company but i have no hope for GREAT AMERICAN VAN LINES, 24 Halladay st Jersey city ,NJ

I got cheated and vow to shift it on my own or sell the stuff and avoid agony.
