Ok, not Excellent - Moving Review

I did a lot of research prior to going with the Presto Logistics Company. They’re on the BBB and that was important with my decision. Darryl was very helpful in explaining the process of a service company, but did not stay with the company himself. He set me up with my move, and gave me a relatively accurate estimate at the time of pick-up. On the day of pick-up, the movers were professional and friendly. They wrapped everything to my satisfaction. You sign a lot of paperwork with a TON of fine print... I suggest reading everything prior to signing. It's mundane, but necessary. My only complaint (and this is why I am unsatisfied with the company) was their poor advertising for "free" storage. Please note: It is NOT free. The company states (not verbally, but in the fine print after you hire them) THEY have up to 30 days to deliver your items to your destination (hence the "free” storage). Had I known this, I would have gone with a company that would have been more flexible with my personal moving situation. Nonetheless, when I was ready for delivery, the company was NOT ready to deliver my items. So, my things remained in storage after 30 days (NOT my choice). But the company still charged me $200 extra for exceeding the,"30 days free" limit. I tried speaking with a manager to NOT pay this additional fee due to the poor advertisement and lack of knowledge about this “30 day free storage” prior to my move, but every time I called someone would tell me the manager would, “call me back” and I never received a call back.
On the day of delivery, the movers were on-time (for being 2 weeks later than I wanted) and unloaded and set up everything rather quickly. My recommendation is to use this company ONLY if you have an immediate delivery. I also recommend heavy duty boxes (some of my boxes tore in the process). Ongoing communication with the company is helpful as well. Keep their number on speed dial.
