he sales agent, Mitch Blumstein, was courteous & available until my belongings were picked up. Pick up was one day late bc the movers were reassigned to pick up from other irate customers. I was given the choice of a midnight pick up or 9am the next morning. Arrival was noon. A week after the "guaranteed" delivery time frame, Mitch did not return my calls or respond to my emails inquiring as to the status of my delivery. Assuming his absence was due to sudden death, I called customer service & Julian informed me my belonging were still in storage at the town of pick up. Belongings arrive 2 weeks late on a Sunday & I was only provided 4 hrs notice of arrival time. Had a few items damage & filed a claim as I was told I would also get some refund for everyday the delivery was late. I mailed this claim 6/19/12 & waited the required 3 months before inquiring on the status of the claim. I called today & learned my claim "was never received". I was advised to refile the claim. At this point, I doubt any additional claims will be received. I no longer have the time or energy to deal with this company. Perhaps this is what they expect. For now I will assume my original claim is under a large stack of claims & 1 day it will be unearthed & then perhaps acknowledged. Also, my contract was w Moving Squad, a week after pick up was told to have certified check for balance made out to American, a week before arrival was told delivery would be by Colonial & had to cash the 1st certified check to have another made out to Colonial. Of course, each certified check came with a fee. The only professionals who seemed to be customer service oriented were the movers. Both on pick up & delivary, they were appologetic regarding delays & communication breakdown. Do yourself a favor, call a major moving company with an overall good reputation. That will eliminate this disorganized middle man. This was the 7th move I have been through & the only company I haved filed a complaint against. Unfortunately, the company I preferred to use (Apple Movers Humble, TX) no longer do out-of-state moves which is why I searched for another company.
