POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - Moving Review

I scheduled a move via email with this company 10days in advance for Dec 28th, 2011. I requested 9am in the email but never noticed they did confirm that time on the email, only the day. I was supposed to get a call the day before the move from the driver. By 4:30pm on Dec 27th, no one had ever called so I call the office and find out they have my move down for 2:30pm instead of 9am. I was livid but at this point they have you by the balls and they know it. They try to smooth it over and state more than likely they will be early. Right. I spend the entire day waiting for them, only to get a call at 1:15pm that the move they are on was going to take longer than expected and they wouldnt be there until 4pm. I am moving a one BR apt down stairs, moving it all an hour north and putting it into storage. It gets dark at 5:15pm an it was to be 40degrees after dark that night. I was livid to say the least. I went onto local Craigslist, found HALL BROTHERS MOVING CO, hired them immediately and turned around and called Woody and Sons and fired them at 2:30 in the afternoon. The guy who answered the phone was dumbfounded because he probably didn't think anyone would ever do that to THEM and that they got to dictate the terms of the screwing. HA! I could not have been more impressed with HALL BROTHERS. They called to say they were on their way at 8am, showed up at 9am, loaded the truck, drove it an hour and had it unloaded and done in 3.5hrs. They only wanted to charge me 3.5hrs but I paid them for 4hrs and tipped all three of them $40.00each. It literally could not have been a more pleasant and professional move.
