RIP OFF..Stole Items..Broke my stuff..Delivered it wet - Moving Review

A nightmare from pickup to delivery...Anyone thinking of using this company I'd suggest you read about my experience...I had this company move me from Naples Florida to the Boston Area. The sales person I mainly dealt with was Sal. I was working with a budget so I tried to take only the items I needed. I told Sal the salesmen my move would be minimal. I would be moving 13 medium size boxes, 2 End tables with small Glass Tops, a Coffee Table which also had 2 small glass tops, and a King Size Bed. I informed Sal that there was a chance I may need to add on a few more boxes but it would not be by much and was told that wouldn't be a problem and that it would only add on a few bucks more. Sal quoted me a price of $970 Door to Door ....Yeah Right!!!! The movers arrived 3 hours late and that was only the beginning of the problem. When the 2 movers finally arrived the guy who was in charge "MIKE" told me he wanted to go over the invoice. A quick glance by Mike at the items I was to have moved and I was told the price was now $1575....I asked why the price had gone up and was told that the problem was with my end tables and coffee tables.....I asked why and was told that if I looked closely at the invoice, the invoice stated "2 Glass Top end tables and a Glass Top coffee table" which meant only the glass tops were to be picked up...Not the actual end tables or coffee table..........I almost fell over....After arguing over the price for an hour the driver informed me that he could lower the price to $1300 but that I would "HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF HIM AND HIS HELPER WITH A TIP"...I told the movers I would give them $60 and was told $60 wasn't worth them losing their jobs...In the End I had to give them $100 EACH...Which if you did quick math worked out to just about the same price......After the movers left I called Sal to get an explanation as to what was going on and Sal quickly hung up the phone...I tried calling Sal back a few days before my items were to arrive in Boston and was told that he could not access my invoice at this time and to call back the following day....I did call back the following day and I got the dispatch manager who basically said the price is what it is and if I want my stuff I would have to pay the balance....When my belongings finally arrived I was told that there would be an extra $75 dollar charge because of steps..PLUS TIP.............When I started to unpack I noticed my electronic items where missing. Most of my dishes were smashed along with the drinking glasses...My wife's jewelery box was broken in half, ....Thank god nothing valuable was inside...Her Movado watch case was crushed like a pancake...Again thank god she was wearing the watch or the watch would have been broken. Many of my antique figurines had been broken or chipped even with the box marked fragile all over it....A make up case with many of my wife's lipsticks had been smashed as well....In Short this was one bad company from top to bottom....My suggestion to anyone remotely thinking of using this company....Get in writing a price quote..Look over the pickup order they send you and make sure every piece of item is listed properly...If you have a piece of gum you better make sure it's listed on the pick up order...Also they charge $4 per roll of tape they use to secure your stuff....And they used a full case of tape for the items I had moved....Which wasn't much...If you move into an apartment complex with steps it's $75 extra for steps....And make sure your development can fit a tractor trailer because that's what your belongings will arrive in....If the truck cannot make it to the drive way, it's an extra $200-$300 depending on what the driver wants to charge you to carry your stuff in...
