Ok, I am still in process of getting my items come to me BUT i am already convinced the company is after your money and doesnt care about the customer AT ALL.
My story:
I got a quote for ~1300$ which i thought was a decent price for what i had and the lady said I could finalize a more exact inventory so the estimate could be more exact which I did about 5 days before the move. I updated the list and received confirmation which i signed digitally. And that's when everything went downhill.
First the movers' truck went down which I guess it is not their fault... the 2 mexicans (surprise!) came at 10pm and finished at 2am...at first the inventory list was an old one (not updated) and the mexican basically said they count cubic feet whatever and there was no one else for me to talk to me at 10pm! After they packed most of the stuff in there then he tells me i am ~700$ over! i was like wtf especially there were items that havent even been placed in the truck yet that I LISTED! So i had to throw my items out to garbage because i couldnt fit them in my car AND it wouldve cost me 3 times as much to put them in the truck at that point! Later I talked to their agent and he told me IF i had everything on the inventory list instead of the outdated list he had then they wouldnt have charged me extra!
Now the kicker is this... skymoving has been "on time" in terms of answering my calls UP TO THE POINT I found out it is they WHO F'ed UP! Now their manager who i talked to stopped replying to my messages, i get transferred to "wait foreverland" and the agent who i spoke to never answered my calls and instead rerouted me to the operator!
Today I left few messages for the manager telling him I am not going to pay the extra money. Tomorrow I will leave message saying I will report them to the BBB and hope they lose their certification.
