So great, I used the company 3 times! - Moving Review

It's true: I appreciated Starlight Relocation so much that I used them for three moves. The first covered a distance of maybe 10 miles; the second maybe 3; and the third over 50.

The crew chief of the first two moves was the same person, which I liked, since I thought he and his crew did a great job. The second crew chief I had knew the first crew chief, which reassured me that the company didn't hire hacks off the street but had kept its staff long enough for them to know each other.

The first two times, the crews wanted to get started 2 to 4 hours earlier than scheduled. That didn't work for me, so they waited. If the crews are going to be not on time, I'd rather they be early than late.

I had no damaged property, and everything was moved in and out with ease.

The crews taught me a lot about how to pack appropriately, so I appreciate their attention to detail to protect my property and to make the move as easy as possible. Next time, I may buy my own packing supplies, as I ended up spending more than I expected on that part.

Starlight offers discounts for members of the military and for students. Be sure to mention them.

One confusing part of Starlight's contract is how customers receive a 5% discount for paying in cash. In fact, it's not a discount, but a waiver of the fuel charge. In other words, if you pay in cash, you don't have to pay the fuel charge. If you pay any part of the bill with a credit card, you do have to pay the fuel charge. That seems fine, except that the contract doesn't make the connection.

Starlight's rates are reasonable, if not lower than most moving companies' in the area. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to others.
