Called Mayflower movers to move from New York to Nevada. Chris Blank (salesman was great). Unfortunately once contract is signed and paid for it was all down hill from there. Pick up location inventory is all done by hand with ineligible handwriting, the driver is given to much power to do a sloppy job. Corrupion from the start with the driver. At destination in Nevada, driver shows up late and then claims truck is to big to get into what is a complex the size of a small airport, shows up with one person to help when he used 3 others to pick up in NY. Driver claims he needs a shuttle and searches for different agents in the area to move all our things from the big truck to the shuttle truck. Driver calls me and states he needs money from me to pay for additional help (when we paid a full contract for anything that may be needed) we said "No". The driver finally shows up again after 5 hours with help of three additional guys. They begin to bring things up where we have to convince them what rooms they belong in. Many boxes are missing the labels that are supposed to be on for inventory purposes. Many boxes are damaged and wet. Our foam memory foam pads 4"thick Queen sized X 2 were rolled up and not protected in anyway, they arrived soaked as it was raining like huge sponges each one of these memory foam mattress toppers cost $500 each and were both ruined; we sleep on these for Christ sake. Many items are broken as discovered after opening boxes. Reluctantly we tipped the driver and the workers later to find out our largest of boxes a wardrobe box is missing containing expensive suits (Brioni suits), colognes (10 expensive colognes), crystal and kitchen ware. The driver left without opening the wooden crates in which our coordinating agent explains he was suppose to do this. We call headquarters in Missori and they finally help coordinate someone to come and uncrate large mirrors in which they break a $1800 Italian import mirror. We file a claim in which they send someone to see the damage, take pictures and they decide it can be repaired. Next day we hear from the claim adjuster to be told they will not fix the mirror because we have a $500 deductible with the extra insurance we paid for to be fully covered and in addition they show everything received on their inventory sheets and even though we placed a trace for the missing wardrobe box valued at $2665 they will not cover that either. I told the original coordinator in NY Susan Ramos that I will file a lawsuit if things are not made right and I was told "YOU WILL NOT WIN". We are actively pursuing a lawsuit for the lost items and damages to our personal belongings. It seems the purchase of insurance to be fully covered was just another way to get more dollars from us with out protection. We are filing a lawsuit including legal fees and will also follow up with the Better Business Bureau and the Department of Transportation MAYFLOWER MOVING U.S. DOT No. 125563 These complaints will also be against the agents in NY Brooklyn DAHILL MOVING & STORAGE 585 CONEY ISLAND AVENUE and SIERRA MOVING SYSTEMS 3830 EAST CRAIG ROAD N. LAS VEGAS as these were the pickup and destination agents. In addition Raul Lopez (driver id 15696)the driver of this horrible delivery will be at the center of our lost and damaged personal property. Information herein will be used as factor in the pursued legal claims and public complaints.
