Sunshine Movers not so Sunny - Moving Review

I called and made a reservation with Sunshine Moving, through Alex, to pick-up and deliver a sofa and chair bought on Craigslist. He provided an estimate ($100.00) which seemed reasonable given the short distance and small number of items. That was the only positive experience I had with the company. I provided them the address for pick-up and confirmed the time. On the day that I was to have them deliver the furniture, I sent an e-mail in the afternoon again confirming the time and location. 1 1/2 hours before we were supposed to be meeting at the pick-up I received a message from Alex stating that he needed a confirmation. I returned his call within 6 minutes (I looked at the call log). He never called back. I ended up sitting at the pick-up for a half an hour trying to call the movers to see what had happened. They did not answer their phone. Thinking that perhaps they were screening my call, I had my husband call on a separate number. Bingo. They picked up on the first ring. When confronted about not showing up, he stated that he had tried to call several times (he didn't) and never received the confirmation so moved onto another job. If you are looking for reliable, professional moving service I would not count on Sunshine Moving.
