terrible experience with Graebel - Moving Review

I almost never write reviews, but Graebel is just SO BAD and it's SO FRUSTRATING. Let the rant begin.

First of all, once they said they would do our move from Pittsburgh to Minneapolis (a relatively small one without much furniture), they waited until it was too late for us to get anyone else and then stalled and stalled on scheduling the actual move out. It was the night before when they finally told us they were coming the next morning. They were clearly waiting until it was cheapest for them in terms of drivers without any concern for our schedules.

Now that they have our stuff, they won't give it back. It's the exact same story. Two weeks past the date they said they would deliver it... and counting. I try to get in touch with them and if I can get a person to respond, they always assure me they will know the next day. It's almost like a running joke between the secretary and me that they are potentially never going to get around to it. Again, they are waiting until they have some optimal sized shipment to match with ours to save themselves on cost. But "delivery sometime within the next year when we feel like it" was not the service we signed up for!!! Do they think we don't have jobs and lives to deal with that we can wait around indefinitely with no furniture or household items?!

And a final issue: They refuse to give me an estimate of the cost. At first, they said they couldn't give me a number because it depends on weight. Not even a BALLPARK number. But now they've had our stuff for 6 weeks and still no number. They could try to charge me just about anything, and I wouldn't put it past them since they are clearly trying to increase their profits however they can at the expense of their customers.

Bottom line: Graebel needs to go out of business.
