TERRIBLE MOVE - Moving Review

Beware of CROSS COUNTRY MOVING & STORAGE, INC of Rockville, MD     They are among the worst movers in the universe, in my opinion. I have good reason to think so, because I was dumb enough to use them to move my possessions only TEN miles.    They “got lost” for FOUR HOURS, IN TEN MILES, even with GPS.  They did not call me to say they were lost  Their so-called business office was closed. They arrived at the new apartment location at 9:15 PM. It took them four hours to unload.  They refused to unpack, unless I paid them hundreds more dollars. They finished unloading at 1:15 AM, (ie, after midnight) on THE NEXT DAY.  Did I say they REFUSED  TO UNPACK ?  Of about 80 boxes, only  about 10%-15% were correctly marked with the correct contents ; most boxes were not marked at all. They were paid $1950. My discount (in writing) was never given or refunded   If  you even consider using these people for a local or long distance move, you need your head examined !
