Terrible Movers---overcharged! - Moving Review

Laprom movers gave me a quote based on what I told them they would be moving.   This was a king size bed and a few pieces of bedroom furniture, a wall unit, couches, table and chairs and some boxes.   They told me it would cost around $400.  They showed up 1 hour late and spent a lot of time (about 2 hours) standing around looking at each other and talking about how tired they were from the move they did earlier that day.  I spent a full hour running up and down my stairs bringing stuff to them at their truck.  They dropped some stuff off the ramp and broke 2 boxes.  Also, their wardrobe boxes were overused and collapsing. This whole move took them 7 hours and they charged us over $900.  I called them and asked them to "finish the job" as they left  items in our home.  They said they would do it for a "discounted rate" discounting $10 per hour.  They would not listen to me or work with me on this. These movers to not give valid quotes.  They take advantage of the "hourly rate".  Do NOT use them!!!   C.  Allen
