THEE WORST MOVING COMPANY - Moving Review

"DO NOT USE US VAN-LINES", I repeat "DO NOT USE US VAN-LINES"...I don't even know where to start. I became so frustrated with US Van-Lines that I considered reporting them to the BBB(Better Business Bureau). First of all they misquoted us on our price. Our quote was for $1050, we ended up paying $200 extra. The sales rep "Sharon" did not specify that we would need materials. The moving company showed up and charged over $100 for TAPE. I would have made sure to have all materials needed, had Sharon specified. So, not only were they not thorough, but when I asked for a copy of the charges, Sharon never got that for me. In fact, I never heard back from her period after she said she would fax or email me a copy of the extra charges. I could not believe it was this hard to keep in contact with the company. Once they have your money they DO NOT CARE ANYMORE. So much for customer service. They said it would take up to 14 days and that turned into 3 weeks. And, when the company finally got there, they said that since the couch would not fit into the elevator they would have to charge an extra $50 per flight of stairs and my apartment is on the 3rd Floor. I told them "nevermind" and I took it up myself, "IN THE ELEVATOR". So they are also lazy.
