***** This is a 5 star company ***** - Moving Review

So, I must preface this with the fact that this is my first online review ever! . Partly because I chose this company, based on word of mouth and wanted to pay it forward... but mainly because it was the BEST moving experience EVER.
When trying to decide on a moving company, all you hear are the bad experiences when soliciting advice - showed up hours late, broke stuff, lost stuff, were rude, unresponsive etc... So naturally, I was pretty hesitant when researching companies. But based on recommendations from co-workers and friends, I managed to send off a number of online quotes, and received maybe a handful back (Go figure - I think it was a week before my requested move in date?). Tristate was the first to get back to me, with what seemed like a relatively reasonable quote. So then of course I put off calling them back until THE DAY BEFORE I WANTED TO MOVE. No problem. The gentlemen that I talked to in the office was friendly and helpful. Gave me the window of 8-9 am for the movers to come.

The day of the move, they showed up right ontime. First box was on the truck before I finished signing the paperwork . And after that, they never stopped once - well, except one time, to fashion some levy thing with straps around my cabinet so that they could move it out the 2nd floor window, and carry it down a ladder (no big deal).
Moving in was just as pleasant and speedy. This time my couch, boxspring and cabinet had to go over the second floor deck.


When it was finished, I came in only marginally above what they had originally quoted, and I actually ended up having them take a ton more stuff than I had anticipated (and they even took apart and put together my huge wooden bed).

All in all, I attribute the best moving experience ever to the 3 awesome, funny, respectful, hard-working guys that helped me move. The people in the office were very helpful and we couldnt do it without a great moving company like tristate moving and storage. Thank you Tony and the team!!!!!
