Toast - Moving Review

I contracted best price for a price quote. They estimated my 2 bedroom home for a mere $1800, cheaper than the major vanlines, more than the smaller brokers. I regret trying to save the $300 that mayflower would have charged me. Their driver appearantly AWOL with my belongings for 15 days. Initially I was told they were in the warehouse waiting to be shipped. I showed up there and asked to inspect my goods to insure they were stored in an acceptable manner by the movers and they told they had just left on a trailer. It was fifteen days after that the driver showed up at my new apaprtment with several of my boxes smashed and of course my brand new plasma tv missing. In addiiton the weight of the shipment went up almost 30%, I was charged a 70% increase in price. They told me this was due to increase niweight and storage in transit. Storage I never wanted. They tried to charge me for storing my items while they didnt even know where they were. Finally I got adjusted there astronomical storage rate but still was stuck paying major overages for shipping just a few extra items.
