Unprofessional, Bad Attitudes, Late - Moving Review

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Beware!! Do yourself a favor and pay the extra money.  Remember you get what you pay for. The owner John Griffin Jr of Rosedale, MD is a liar and scum. The guy has a rap sheet a mile long. First of all a day or so before my move I contact them by email to tell them I wanted to add more items, I gave my cell number to contact me, more $$ for them right. I got no response, the owner was out of town, family emergency from what I was told.  The day of the move his assistant contact me to tell me to tell me they were going to be late because they didn't have my address. Don't you think that is something they should have had?  They were supposed to arrive between 9 and 10am, they arrives at 2:30pm. When they did arrive, 5 hours late one of the movers was complaining to me about all the glass I had. When we finally arrived at the new house the police knocked on my door, then my my very excited old neighbor showed up stating the moving truck hit his wife's parked car. So there was lots loud talking and arguing going on in my new neighborhood, how embarrassing for me. The entire time they were there the super on the job was getting calls from the owner and the next stop, which he wasn't happy because they were going to be late for his job as well.  The super did bring one item to my attention, a desk top that they damaged taking it apart.  I told him, no big deal, don't worry about it.  I was moving be my self so it took me a few days to get to things.  I noticed the bottom of my chest of drawers was cracked.  I called the owner, he stated that moving companies in MD only pay .60 per pound for damaged items.  He was going have someone drop off $30.  While waiting for that to happen I noticed one of my bedroom doors was damages.  The movers opened it too far and the door stop behind the door punctured the back of the door and the door frame. I was going to show that to whom ever dropped off the $30.  Which never happened, I emailed them to tell them.  And they wanted to know what took me so long to tell them, it had only been a week and it was in a spare bedroom. I sent pictures and it took another week for the owner to respond. He said he would send a contractor out replace the door, it's on $14 dollars and to repair the frame.  I told him I didn't want to use his contractor because I didn't know him,  He said "ahh I live in $500,000 house on the water and he's totally redone my house, he's good"  He doesn't even own a home, lives in a town house owned by someone else. The business address was started using an apartment address. The contractor called(my land line, which I never use, I called him back and left a message before Memorial day weekend and stated I didn't want him to have to work on the holiday weekend.  Call me and let's plan for the following Saturday. He called the night before and left a message for not getting in contact with me, but wanted to come the next day.  I already made plans. So, again I contacted the owner and told him to just give me his insurance information I want to use my own contractor.  He refuses to do that stating his policy wouldn't cover damages. The owner said, take me to court to get the insurance info. Also I found a small bag of marijuana in my basement that apparently one of the movers dropped. Good thing my dog didn't get ahold of that.
