WORSE MOVE OF MY LIFE - Moving Review

I contracted with them because of their name and (I thought) reputation. What a mistake. When they started inventorying and packing, they were going so fast I could not keep up to make sure things were getting documented properly. I also commented that I could not read their writing on the paperwork and was told it was just for documentation purposes and I didn't need to worry about it.

The next day they arrived with a temporary truck claiming the moving truck broke down. So they had to load my stuff, then un-load and re-load again onto the actual moving truck. When my stuff was loaded they wanted me to sign all the paperwork that I couldn't read, I told them I couldn't read it and again they said it's not that important and to just sign it, they had to get going. So I was pressured and just signed it. The delivery was 6 days late beyond the scheduled delivery date. The driver claims his truck kept breaking down. This caused a major inconvenience not having my belongings as promised. Then as they are unloading, I told them to slow down so I could check off the numbers on the paperwork. Well, some stuff didn't make the trip and some stuff was broken. Oh but all your stuff should be here, please sign the paperwork that you can't read, we have to get going.

Now comes filling out the claim forms. Oh, wait a minute you can't read the paperwork to figure out what is missing. Oh, and you need receipts for the 10 year old antique table that's missing. Oh, now that's going to be a problem. I could keep writing, but this move has been such a disaster that I just hope people will read these complaints and be very careful using Bekins for their move.
