OMG!!!! This was the WORST experience in my life! I called several companies to find a mover for a cross country move and I was DUPED by this company! I made arrangements to have my furniture moved from Plainfield, IL to Las Vegas, NV, but I was under a time issue. I called this company in Septemeber for a move in November. I explained that I only was going to be at my home in Vegas for 10 days and I had to return to Illinois for work. I was promised that my furniture would arrive to Las Vegas either Nov 22 or 23. When the crew came to pick up my furniture, I mentioned that I would see them on Nov 22. I was told that my stuff would not arrive until after Thanksgiving. I called Bill Moore (my rep) at Budget immediately and questioned this. He assured me that he will speak to his supervisior and that my furniture will be there as promised. I started my drive to Vegas thinking that shrotly after I arrive, I will have my stuff there to set up my new home. 2 days before my delivery was due to arrive, I still have not heard on which day to expect the movers. I tried to call Bill, but he was not returning my calls. I finally called customer serivce and was told that my stuff will not arrive til Dec 6-10th. I again explained that I was not going to be there due to needing to return to work in Illinois. I ws told that if I was not there, the stuff will go into storage and I will have to pay additional money. I told the person that I was told that my stuff would arrive within the next 2 days and now it has changed. I again tried to reach Bill and he still won't return my calls. I found out that my furniture was subcontracted to another mover and it was still in Illinois. No one from Budget called me back, but the mover who had my furniture was kind enough to call me and let me know what was going on. I found out that they only do this run once a month and they offered to store my furnirure for free. So, now I had taken 10 days off work to set up my new home and unable to do anything except spend money on a hotel for 10 days for myself and my family who flew out to help me move. This was the most expensive move ever and I still don't have any furniture. I may be lucky if I even get it before middle of Jan. We tried to get at least the booking fee back, but Budget refused to compenstate for their mistakes. We are now with a different mover and going after Budget for the $1,300.00 fee that they charged us for doing nothing except causing misery. Spend the extra money for a reliable mover, it will be worth it in the end. This has cost us over $5,000 so far and still with no furniture in Vegas. Not fun living in an empty home with no clothes, linens or anything.
