In my 28 years I have never experienced such deceitful, unprofessional, unapologetic customer service. At the beginning everything seems great when they initially take your business. But when the movers actually arrive (they came to my house at 10 pm when they were supposed to come at 10 am!) it all goes downhill.
The movers told me the only way they could assure my stuff would arrive by a specific day was if I paid them in cash. This is after they charged $200 extra because they had to "pack" some of my stuff for me. But really the only reason they had to do that was because they took apart several of my larger items and had to then put these into boxes.
When the moving company arrived in FL they charged me $400 more and I was forced again to pay in cash, which I did not have, thus was forced to borrow money from a friend (who thankfully was able to help.) They told me they would leave with all of my stuff if I didn't pay the extra money and in CASH!
It was absolutely fraudulent and a rip off. They lost several large and high value items and then charged $600.00 more then what I had been told it would cost. In addition, they broke my flat screen TV, which I had paid extra in order for them to pack it up correctly! Furthermore, legs to my desk were missing and the glass to my coffee table and end table were missing, as well as my brand new jewelry armoire. They never apologized or even tried to pretend like they were going to find the missing items. I received no reimbursement for the damaged or missing items.
It was emotionally stressful and financially draining, and I would not wish such a horrible moving experience on anyone.
