They were wonderful until you sign the contract. The night before delivery we were told they wouldn't be in until 2:00 pm then they showed up at 8:50 am. We let the movers know we had art deco 3-piece antique furniture from my husband's deceased parents, which was the most important pieces we wanted to move, that would need to go through the second floor windows; we were told this was acceptable. The day of the move the mover refused to move them without a "forklift" - he had two other very large guys and a truck right out front! My husband could have had friends there and done it ourselves and we had to leave it behind and try to sell it (still in process)! They came in like a three person "swat team" and charged an additional $86 for boxes (we had plenty) which we are still trying to figure out how that happened while we were upstairs madly finishing our packing since we were caught off gaurd when they showed up five hours early. We are now five days past our delivery date and settled on our new home last week and they won't give us a delivery date, tell us that they don't have GPS on all their trucks, the mover asked us to "tip his guys", and still we paid $1200 after leaving antiques behind, and NEVER REC'D THE RECEIPT FOR THE $86 WORTH OF SO CALLED BOXES WE USED! PEOPLE USE SOMEONE ELSE AND SAVE YOURSELF FROM BEING SCAMMED AND BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY FAST TALKING NEW YORKERS! Each time I call to complain the sales office laughs at my comments about "don't your trucks have GPS that you can tell me where they are and when you can anticipate delvery"? "You did tell us delivery would be 8/12, and we didn't set the delivery date - you did"! I actually told them I would call the police today since I was beginning to believe someone stole it since I was promised a return call by the supervisor yesterday when I threatened to contact the Better Business Bureau for not meeting their end of the BINDING CONTRACT WE BOTH SIGNED!
IT'S A MIRACLE - THE MOVER JUST CALLED AND SAID THE DELIVERY SHOULD BE THIS WEEKEND - THAT'S MAYBE 9-10 DAYS PAST THE DELIVERY DATE IF IT'S TRUE! WE'LL SEE! THAT'S AFTER I THREATED TO CALL THE LOCAL SHERIFF!
