What would be the average cost to move a 3 bedroom house cross country from California to New York? Thanks

For this kind of move, the price is calculated upon the weight of the shipment. A 3 bedroom house can weight from 6000lbs to 12 000lbs. The price for 1 lb can be between $1.10 and $1.40. It is very important to tell the moving consultant about every moving detail so that the moving estimate could be as most precise as possible.

Can anyone tell me an approximate price of a local studio apartment move in Washington DC? I’m still deciding whether to switch neighborhoods but it’s always nice to know a tentative price beforehand.

Hi Manuel, you can expect to pay about $600 for your DC move. If you decide to ask for packing as well, that would be another $200 – $250 on top of the bill. Of course, these calculations are approximate. You can get a precise estimation only after you ask for a quote because every relocation job is unique.

Hi folks, can you tell me what would be the average cost of moving a 3 bedroom house from San Antonio to Chicago. I am moving to Chicago in a month, but still i don’t have an idea what to expect. Thought you can give me a start

Hey Amber, actually you’ve come to the right place. Well, you are moving from San Antonio to Chicago, so we are talking about interstate move. In that case your moving estimation will be based on the weight of your items. A three bedroom house is estimated approx. 8500/9000 lbs., so you might expect price rates between $0.70 per lb. And if you require full packing services that would be about $1500 more. Consider that movers’ price rates vary depending on the time of the move and the company availability.
