What will you be your cost estimate if you go for a full service moving company?

Hi Kevin, thank you for your question. Your cost estimate for moving in case you hire movers to do the job depends on the distance and the time of the move. First, mind that for a long distance move, movers charge per pound. On the other hand, if you are moving locally, your cost estimate will be based on price rate per hour. And when it comes to time, spring and summer, and the end of the month price rates are higher.
Also, if the movers do the packing and the unpacking, this will be charged additionally.
If you give me some more details, I’ll give you more accurate info.

Thank you for the prompt reply, Manuella. I am asking for average cost estimate for movers as I am moving from Boston to San Francisco in the next two months. I don’t have much time, so I am considering movers to do the packing. We are talking about 2 bedroom apartment. Thanks!

Well then, for your long distance Boston to San Fransisco move, expect cost estimate for hiring moving company do the whole job around $ 5300. My advice is to ask movers for in-home moving cost estimate. This way you will avoid any further misunderstandings. Research your moving companies and enjoy a safe trip. Good luck.
