How much does it cost to pack a kitchen?
Joanne Gray on Jun 12, 2011 Reply
Packing a kitchen for your upcoming move we believe is one of the most difficult tasks regardless if you are moving yourself or having a professional local or long distance moving companies do it for you. In both cases experience is a key to a successful packing kitchen packing job. The cost typically varies with the size of your kitchen and dining areas. To ensure safe transportation of your fragile glassware, plates and other items it’s recommended that special dish-pack boxes are used along with packing paper sheets and bubble wrap. If you decide to hire a company to do it, the cost will be significantly higher than if you decide to do it yourself. Professional moving companies have a wide range of packing materials designed to be used in packing kitchens. If you choose this way you are purchasing piece of mind as movers know and are trained to pack kitchens and very often their work is backed up by the company and different insurance options are available. If you choose to pack the kitchen yourself and use a moving company to do the move, responsibility for the contents of these fragile boxes full of breakables falls on the customer. We asked few moving companies and were told that to pack a kitchen on the day of the move starts at around $100 and goes up depending on the size of the kitchen. Which way did you choose? Packing your kitchen yourself and with friends or you gave this tricky task to a professional mover? Share your opinion.
